Historical Agreement of Sudan
The Afro-Asian Peoples' Solidarity Organization welcomes the historic power-sharing agreement between the ruling military council and the civil opposition, which paves the way for a transition to civilian rule. This agreement has been reached after months of pro-democracy protests in which President Omar al-Bashir had been ousted after 30 years of ruling the country.
Situation in Sudan
The Afro-Asian People's Solidarity Organization welcomes the agreement between the national forces of Sudan (Forces of Freedom and Change) and the military council, in which the transitional government is formed and Sudan is preparing for a promising future that consolidates the values of democracy, justice and peace, the maintenance of security and the preserving of national cohesion to be consistent in a national civil state.

The Organization of Afro- Asian Peoples' Solidarity has followed with great interest the great and continuous movement of the people of Sudan, which aims to lift the Sudan out of its crises and build a modern democratic state free of the control of extremist Islamic political groups.

Afro Asian People’s Solidarity Organization – AAPSO strongly condemns the series of nine bombings in Sri Lanka targeted Christian churches and hotels in three cities, the death toll has risen to at least 290 people and wounded more than 500 others on Easter Sunday.

We, the representatives of the Afro-Asian Peoples’ Solidarity Organization Arab Solidarity Committees (Egypt, Palestine, Iraq, Lebanon, Morocco, Sudan, Libya, Syria, Bahrain) gathered at the 29th Meeting of Arab Solidarity Committees in Cairo, declare that we are in utmost need for solidarity among our Arab peoples and all the peoples of the world who aspire for peace to prevail in the world, since without peace we cannot proceed with building our sound nation states on the basis of civilization, democracy and social justice, so that our Arab peoples can live a dignified life free from the grave dangers that threaten nation states with destruction. The international and regional situation is deteriorating at an unprecedented pace as the threat of nuclear armament, terrorism and mutual hatred discourses are growing day by day and spreading worldwide.
