AAPSO congratulates the Tunisian Quartet for winning the Nobel Peace Prize for the year 2015
The permanent secretariat of AAPSO received the news that the Nobel peace prize was awarded to the Tunisian Quartet which was formed in the summer of 2013 and includes the Tunisian General Labour Union, the Tunisian Confederation of Industry, Trade and Handicrafts , the Tunisian Human Rights League and the Tunisian Union of Lawyers.
Afro Asian People's Solidarity Organization AAPSO strongly condemns the continuous provocations and aggression on Al-Aqsa Mosque and Palestinians. This aggression constitutes a violation of the resolutions of the United Nations regarding East Jerusalem, contempt of religion and attacks the holy sites.
The concept of "United Nations Organisation" came into acceptance during the closing years of the "Second World War" when representatives of 26 nations fighting the Axis Powers assembled on 1st January 1942 pledged their adherence to a World Organisation to be set up after the end of war.
