The Permanent Secretariat of the Afro-Asian Peoples' Solidarity
Organization-AAPSO- has learnt with deep sorrow the passing away of its Vice-President Alfred Nzo, in Johannesburg.
Alfred Nzo had played a determinant role within the rank of ANC during the dark period of apartheid in South Africa. He led his restless struggle for freedom, peace and justice not only inside the country, but also outside, allowing him to gain the overwhelming sympathy and confidence on the national as well as international level. He largely contributed to the strengthening of Solidarity among the African peoples while devoting a lot of his time to the AAPSO activities.
The Permanent Secretariat of AAPSO conveys its sincere condolences to the family of Alfred Nzo as well as to the ANC and its leadership.
