LETTER OF THANKS
To: Afro Asian People's Solidarity Organization (AAPSO)
Dear Comrades,
The Vietnam Committee for Asian-African-Latin American Solidarity and Cooperation would like to express its sincere thanks to AAPSO for its Statement of 26 May on tension in the East Sea (South China Sea).
As developments in the East Sea are getting increasingly complicated and dangerous, threatening seriously regional peace, security and stability, we Vietnamese highly appreciate the concern and support expressed by friends from Asian, African and other countries targeting abstention from the threat or use of armed force and settlement of disputes by peaceful means in accordance with international law, including the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) and the Declaration on the Conduct of the Parties in the South China Sea (DOC).
We hope that AAPSO would keep following developments and reserving solidarity for the Vietnamese people for the maintenance of peace, security and stability in the region and the world as a whole.
