The permanent secretariat of AAPSO issued the following statement:
The writer Dr. Morsi Saad Eddin had passed away
The permanent secretariat of AAPSO mourns the departure of the great writer Morsi Saad Eddin, one of the notable personalities that enriched the cultural life in Egypt and in the world, especially when was nominated to be the first Chief of the State Information Service.


He was also one of the main founders of the Afro-Asian Writers' Union and was Deputy Secretary-General of the first Afro-Asian Solidarity conference held in Dec. 1957 – Jan. 1958.
AAPSO lost one of its important founders. AAPSO also expresses its condolences to his family, may God give them patience and fortitude.
