Activities in which AAPSO’s Permanent Secretariat has participated outside A.R.E.
1- Seminar on “The Role of Arab Peoples in Assisting Darfurese and supporting the Unity of the Sudanese Land and People.”
The sessions focused on the crisis of the national state in the Sudan when dealing with the issue of Darfur. Also highlighted the negotiation process between the Central government and armed groups., the severe foreign interference on the Sudanese’ Affairs and the hostility to Arabs and Muslims. Finally it dealt with the American-Israeli Plan for the division of the Sudan.

1- CND Conference on US Missile Defence: Towards a New Cold War?

2- The NAM Ministerial Meeting on Human Rights and Cultural Diversity.
The Conference was held in Tehran on the proposal made by the Iranian government at the NAM Summit in Cuba. It was well attended. The President of Iran inaugurated the conference, Chaired by the Cuban Foreign Minister at the opening session Through this conference Iran wanted to project her image as a country tolerant to different views.

3- South-South Solidarity Coordinating Meeting.
The meeting was convened by the Vietnam Peace and Development Foundation whose President is Mms. Nguen Thi Binh, Former Vice- President of Vietnam. The conference was financed by Action Aid International organization and there were delegates from Asia and Africa.
The main idea of the meeting was to forge a movement fo South-South Peoples Solidarity.
