VPC's deep concern over Hamas-Israel escalating conflict
Dear Comrades and Friends,
The Viet Nam Peace Committee (VPC) expresses our profound concern over the escalating violence between Hamas and Israel forces that has claimed thousands of civilian lives, damaged humanitarian facilities and essential infrastructure. We have also been concerned about the fate of all hostages and the difficult circumstances in Gaza.
VPC strongly condemns all acts of violence against civilians. We call on relevant parties to exercise restraint, refrain from taking actions that complicate the situation, resume negotiations to settle disagreements through peaceful means, in accordance with international law and related resolutions of the United Nations Security Council, ensuring safety and legitimate interests of civilians.
We extend our solidarity with all people and peace movements in the cause of peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world over.
